BUCADEF Outreach Strategy
Level 1: Primary Producer Groups (Farmers’ Organisations) at village level with a possibility of merging them into producer associations at the parishes. Congregating producers for easy outreach, resource mobilisation and access, training and extension services to unify production methods for easy aggregation of produce. Every group will comprise of at least twenty five (25) households. Savings will be mobilized through group savings and borrowing to facilitate re-investment in productivity enhancing technologies and land acquisition. The Groups will undertake farm experimentation for learning purposes and innovations to create Farmer learning groups (FLGs) and where applicable they will be facilitated to follow the Farmer Field Schools (FSS) Curriculum.
